Satellite Studios is an AI video production studio in Melbourne. We make brand films, commercials, product films and development films for brands, agencies and developers across Australia, using AI generation where a traditional production would put a camera crew.

Every film goes through the same eight stages: development, treatment, boards, generation, edit, grade, sound and finishing. The idea and the look are agreed before anything is generated, every shot is made to an approved board, and the finished film is graded and mixed like a commercial.
Generation takes the place of the shoot. There is no location to book, no crew to fly and no weather to wait for, so a product can sit on a mountain, a building can stand on an empty block and a campaign can run in six formats from one master.
A brief: what the film is for, who it is for and when it needs to be out. Then whatever references you have, such as product photos, packaging, renders, plans or brand guidelines. For Dedicated we started from three phone photos of the brand's weight plates and a reference for the gym.

How does AI fit into how you make a film?
AI generation replaces the shoot, not the production. Every film still goes through development, a treatment, storyboards, generation, edit, grade, sound and finishing. Each shot is generated to an approved board, then cut, graded and mixed like any commercial.
How is this different from using an AI video generator?
A generator gives you clips. A film needs an idea, a treatment, boards, the same people and product held consistent from shot to shot, an edit, a grade, sound design and delivery to spec. That is the work we do, and it is why our films read as one piece rather than a string of generations.
Can you use our real product, packaging and brand?
Yes. We build from the references you give us: product photos, packaging, renders, plans and brand guidelines. For Dedicated we started from three phone photos of the brand's weight plates and kept the plates accurate across every shot.
Is the quality good enough for television and cinema?
Our films are finished as graded masters, up to 4K, with a proper sound mix, and delivered to the formats a campaign needs: 16:9 for broadcast and online, 9:16 and 4:5 for social. The Island of Gems and our Mercedes spec films were mastered in 4K.
How much does an AI film or commercial cost?
Every film is quoted from the brief. The price depends on the running time, the number of shots, how many formats and cutdowns you need, the number of review rounds, and music and sound. Send us a brief and we will come back with a quote and a schedule.
How long does it take to make a film?
It depends on the length of the film and the number of review rounds. There is no location, crew or weather to schedule, so the time goes into development, boards and finishing. We give you a schedule with every quote.
Who owns the finished film?
The finished film and its cutdowns are delivered to you for your campaign. Ownership and usage rights are confirmed in writing with every quote.
Where do you work?
We are based in Melbourne and make films for clients across Australia and overseas, including a Sri Lankan jewellery manufacturer and an apartment development in Colombo marketed to Australian buyers.
