Two men rob an armoured truck on a bridge at dawn for one steel case, and inside it is a single tub of pre-workout.
The Brief
A concept film for Cunnies Energy and its new Cunnies Cola pre-workout, made on our own initiative to show how we would build a story around one product.
The Approach
We wrote a heist that ends on the product: a truck robbed on a bridge at dawn, one steel case, and a single tub inside it. Both leads, Adam's own GT3 RS, the truck, the bridge, the gym, the case and the tub were fixed as reference sheets first, and the shots that needed exact positions were blocked out in Blender at true scale before anything was generated.
What We Delivered
A 1 minute 12 second concept brand film at 16:9, ending on the new flavours card.
How It Was Made
Go Again is a concept film for Cunnies Energy, made on our own initiative and not commissioned by Cunnies. It is a heist told in eighteen shots: a truck on a bridge at dawn, a case taken at speed, a gym, and one tub of the new Cunnies Cola pre-workout at the centre of it. The two leads are real people, Adam Sullivan and Mini C, and the car is Adam's own.
The Cast, The Car And The Product
Everything that appears in more than one shot was designed first and fixed as a sheet: Adam and Mini C from every side, with and without their balaclavas, Adam's GT3 RS from frames of his own car, the armoured truck, the bridge at dawn, the gym by day and by night, the steel case, the tub with its real label and the shaker. Every shot was then generated with the sheets of what is in it, which is how the faces, the car and the label hold from the first shot to the last.
Blocked In Blender First
The shots where position and scale had to be exact were built in Blender at true scale before anything was generated: the truck and the car on the road, the camera inside the truck's hold, the Porsche splitting off at the exit, the car's line into the gym, where each man stands and how big the tub is in the case. Each finished shot was generated with its layout as a guide to camera, position and size only; the driving and the movement in it have real weight and are never copied from the grey boxes.
