What We Collect

When you send us a brief, we collect your name and email address, your company and phone number if you give them, the kind of film you are interested in, and anything you write in your message.

When you email us or speak with us, we keep the details of that conversation.

When you visit the site, Google Analytics records information about your visit, such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the films you watch and whether you send a brief. It also records general details like your device, your browser, your approximate location at the level of a city or region, and how you found the site. This information does not tell us who you are.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to run and protect the site.

How We Use It

We use personal information to:

• reply to your brief and talk with you about your project, by email or by phone
• prepare quotes, deliver work and keep records of our work with you
• understand how the site is used, so we can improve it
• send you news about our work, where you have agreed to receive it or the law allows it

Every marketing email we send includes a way to unsubscribe. We do not sell your personal information.

Where It Is Stored

Briefs sent through the site go straight into our customer relationship management system, GoHighLevel. The account is run by Satellite Digital Co Pty Ltd and shared by Satellite Studios and Satellite Digital, so the Satellite Digital team may also see your details.

Who We Share It With

We share personal information only with the services we use to run the business, and only as much as they need:

• GoHighLevel (LeadConnector), which stores enquiries and our contact records
• Google, which provides Google Analytics and our email
• Vercel, which hosts the website

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Information Stored Overseas

These providers store data on servers outside Australia, mainly in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle your information in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Cookies And Analytics

Google Analytics uses cookies to tell one visit from another. The site also saves two small settings in your browser: the colour of the loading screen you saw last, and whether you chose the grid or list view on the Work page. Neither identifies you.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site works the same without them.

How Long We Keep It

We keep enquiries and project records for as long as we need them to work with you and to meet our legal and tax obligations. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months. When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

Keeping It Secure

Your brief is sent to us over an encrypted connection and stored in systems protected by passwords and access controls, and only the people who need your information for their work can see it. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

Seeing Or Correcting Your Information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email rosario@satellitedigital.co and we will respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you are concerned about how we have handled your personal information, email rosario@satellitedigital.co. We will look into it and reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes To This Policy

We will update this policy when the way we handle information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
