A vacant corner block in Box Hill, presented by the agent, with the home it could hold going up on the empty lot.
The Brief
A property film for McConnell Bourn, selling a vacant corner block of about 361 square metres at 38 Orcus Lane, Box Hill, in Sydney's north west.
The Approach
Ashton Jafarian filmed his piece to camera in a park, and we put him on the block itself. The film shows the land from above with its size and zoning, then the home it could hold going up on the empty lot, made from his concept images, and tours the schools, shops, Metro and parks nearby from his photos.
What We Delivered
A 1 minute 14 second film, mastered in 4K at 16:9.
How It Was Made
38 Orcus Lane is a vacant corner block of about 361 square metres in Box Hill, in Sydney's north west. Ashton Jafarian at McConnell Bourn wanted buyers to see the home it could hold, and sent us a piece to camera he had filmed in a park, three concept images of the home and photos of the area. We put him on the block, built the home on the empty lot and turned each photo into a moving shot.
What We Received
Everything Ashton sent, as it arrived. He filmed his piece to camera in a park on an overcast day, away from the block, and sent it with three concept images of the home, his maps of the block and the area, and photos of the places nearby.
Before And After
What Ashton sent next to the shot we made from it, in the order they appear in the film. His piece to camera moved from the park to the block, the concept images became the home on the corner, and each photo of the area was lit to match the film and given a moving camera.

From Vacant Land To A Home
Halfway through the film Ashton turns to the block, and over about four seconds the home goes up on it while the camera holds still: the ground is cleared, the slab is poured, the frame and the roof go on, the walls are finished and the garden and driveway appear.
